Education in Alanya

If you consider Turkey not only as a country for a wonderful vacation, but also for permanent residence, then first of all you will be faced with the issue of educating children.

In this case, the location of educational institutions for children will also influence the choice of real estate. Recently, Turkey has a large selection of good apartments in resort villages by the sea, but most often there are no schools in resort villages, so these options are unlikely to be suitable for permanent living with children.

Let's try to figure out where Russian-speaking children study in Turkey?

Public Schools

All children who live in Turkey are eligible to study at Turkish public educational institutions.

Education in Turkish public schools is free of charge only in Turkish.

There are municipal educational institutions in all districts of Antalya and Alanya, where not only Turkish children but also foreigners study. In most cases, training lasts half a day and is equipped with modern training systems: computer classes, electronic diaries, and modern sports grounds. The disadvantages of studying in public educational institutions include: a large number of people in the classroom, and the lack of additional clubs and classes for children.

Образование в Турции

Turkish schools have been studying for 12 years:

Education takes place in this way: 4 years is primary school, 4 more years are secondary and the next 4 years are lyceum.

Each educational institution in Turkey gives a child only one educational cycle for 4 years, then parents themselves have the right to choose which educational institution their child will study at. A child does not have to spend all his school years at the same school; he has the right to choose.

After the first 4 years of study, all children in Turkey take exams. Upon successful completion of elementary school, the child receives a diploma of primary education. With this diploma, you can safely go to high school, where you also take exams and get a diploma of successful eight-year education. And at the end of 12 years of study, a Diploma exam is taken, which indicates that you have completed secondary education.

Public education in all schools is free. Children are accepted here regardless of their nationality; Russian and Turkish children can study in the same class.

Before the start of the school year, all foreign children undergo two months of instruction in oral and written Turkish with teachers from their chosen school. As soon as language skills are sufficient for a favorable perception of lessons, children can attend school together with Turkish children. Russian children adapt quite quickly to Turkish speech and language problems almost never arise in communication.

  • statement to the director.
  • for children entering second grade or above, it is necessary to provide proof of a previous school diploma. The certificate is certified in Antalya by the Education Department — Antalya Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı. The document that will issue the control is called Denklik belgesi. The procedure is simple and usually does not take much time. For children entering first grade, this document does not need to be presented.

Private schools (colleges).

The second option for teaching foreign children is private educational institutions, they are called colleges.

Turkish colleges offer excellent learning conditions: modern facilities and training systems. Many institutions are taught by native speakers; the system is built using the latest methods; your child is picked up from home in the morning and brought in in the evening.

It includes meals, extracurricular activities, sports clubs and clubs. Your child will study in an international environment, learn Turkish quickly and adapt to life in Turkey.

Most often, our clients choose to study at colleges for their children, because if you plan to live in Turkey in the future, go to Turkish higher education institutions, and want your child to have Turkish friends, there is no better environment. For example, in Alanya, the most popular private schools Bahcesehir and TED are located in the cozy Alanya-Obe district, and the Doga koleji private school has also opened in the Kestel district. Private school tuition is paid, depending on the particular school and class; on average, prices range from 3,500 euros per year to 5,000 euros.
